The Church Choir leads congregational singing every Sunday, meeting to practise either before or after morning worship.  We introduce new hymns from CH4 to the congregation by singing introits on a regular basis and prepare special items of praise for various services throughout the year.

In September 2007 we hosted our first concert with the assistance of guest soloists.  This was a very enjoyable and successful evening of music inspired by verses from scripture.

The Sunday School and Bible Class meet each Sunday morning at 11am during the school term. Although we are very much part of morning worship, we also meet separately and are divided into four age groups, these being:
•    Nursery Section        (3 -5 year olds)         meet in the Lounge
•    Junior Section        (5 -8 year olds)         meet in the Large Hall
•    Senior Section        (8 – 11 year olds)         meet in the Small Hall
•    Bible Class        (11 – 15 year olds)         meet in the Upstairs Room

We use resources produced by Scripture Union which enable us to provide a range of creative  and fun activities for all of the children and young people to learn about the Bible and the Christian faith. The material caters for different age groups, allowing the children to learn at their own pace.

During each term, the children and young people take part in a family service, such as Harvest Thanksgiving/Nativity/Easter, as well as other activities ranging from our annual picnic and Christmas parties through to our Coffee Morning.

We encourage the children to think of others less fortunate than themselves by supporting the work of Actionaid in developing countries.  Community projects provide assistance in areas such as housing, healthcare and education.

The Guild meet fortnightly in the Large Hall at 7.30pm on a Monday, and welcome men and ladies to come along.  Each year we follow a theme, provided by the National Guild Office, as part of a three-year strategy.  This provides a framework for a series of projects that we work to learn about and to support.  We enjoy this opportunity for practical involvement, helping a variety of projects both at home and throughout the world.
We take an active part in the work of the Presbyterial Council of Angus East and regularly take part in joint meetings with other Guilds in our area.

Our Leadership Team prepares the programme for each session, calling upon some of our members to share their interests and talents and inviting guest speakers from local groups and especially those related to the work of our projects for the year.  We have links with the local committees of the Leprosy Mission, Christian Aid, World Day of Prayer and also support the Fellowship of the Least Coin.

During our summer break we meet once a month on a Monday afternoon for an informal ‘coffee afternoon’.  Members find this a great way to keep up with friends and to continue the fellowship we normally have at Guild meetings.

The aim of the Guild is to invite and encourage us to commit our lives to Jesus Christ through worship, prayer and action, while remembering our motto “WHOSE WE ARE AND WHOM WE SERVE”.

We meet between October and March in the Large Hall at 2.30 pm, on a Tuesday of course! Our members are mostly senior citizens and we enjoy a varied programme of speakers and musical entertainment.  One week each month we have a games and craft afternoon. Most of our craft items are either sold for Church funds or donated to various charities.

We are a group of keen carpet bowlers who meet over the winter months from 10am to Noon in the Large Hall on a Wednesday. We enjoy a few ends of bowls, but this is also a great opportunity for fellowship and friendship.  We are fortunate to have a nice big hall with plenty of space to use two carpets.

On a Wednesday evening, between 7.30pm & 9.30pm, we fill the Small Hall with the sound of Scottish Country Dance music.  We meet weekly over the winter months and cover a wide age group for all abilities.  It’s an evening of great fun and great exercise.

We meet, on a Wednesday evening in the Church Lounge from 7.30pm till 9pm, on a fortnightly basis at varying times throughout the year.  Each block of six meetings is based on a structured Bible Study programme using guides from the “Geared for growth Bible Series”. Over the last few years some of the books of the Bible that we have covered are the Gospel of John, the Acts of the Apostles and Paul’s Letter to the Romans.
The evening starts with a prayer before beginning to look at the passage that has been studied over the previous fortnight. Everyone in the group reads part of the scripture being studied and discussion follows, not just about the passage but also about its implications for Christians today. The evening ends with a prayer and the Grace. Video material or DVD’s are occasionally used and sometimes we have a guest speaker.

On a Thursday evening all of our hall accommodation is filled with young people enjoying a wide variety of games, crafts and sports.  The Junior Youth Club, for those aged from 7 years old to 11/12 years old (Primary School), meets from 6pm – 7.30pm.  The Senior Youth Club is for those at Secondary School and meets from 7.30pm to 9pm.  We meet from September till Easter and have a great time whether it be playing indoor football, table tennis, snooker, board games or trying our hand at knitting or card making to name but a few activities.

The Coffee Stop is a drop-in facility on a Friday morning all year round and we can be found in the Large Hall between 10am and Noon.  You can come along every week or just pop in when you’re passing, a warm welcome awaits you.
